The History of Quest For Endorphins
|
I'm listing the main points to be fleshed out later:
- 1953 Started first grade, knew ages 3-5 too good to last; struggle for control begins
- 1954 Discovered summer vacation end not perpetually in far-off future; despair
- 1955 Found out twelve years of school, not six, knew parents would insist; despair
- 1969 Unwitting endorphin rush after PT in army basic; wildly inappropriate good mood
- 1971 Out of Army on Sept 21. Two hundred forty pounds but the happiest day of my life.
- 1976 Commute made workouts in company gym convenient; felt great every morning
- 1978 Started computer school and bought exercise bike
- 1979 - 2001 Rode bike daily, occasional aerobics and weights, but mostly bike
- 2002 Learned jump rope, started locomoting instead of stationary jumping to music.
- 2003 Moved to new place, no place to jump, went back to exercise bike
- 2005 Moved again, developed JumpRock, stamina increased rapidly.
- 2006 Used Quest For Endorphins techniques for dieting, started book
- 2007 Developed HoopRock, Heavy Hula Hands, Started Quest For Endorphins web site
